Mental Health Advocacy Team Members
For the Independent Mental Health Advocacy service (IMHA) covering;
Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent, Newport,
Torfaen, Monmouthshire.
(Office base Caerphilly)
Advocacy workers 2 x 37 hours, 1 x 27.5 hours
per week
Salary £22,485 – £24,710
(pro rata for part-time)
To successfully meet
the demands of these posts you need
·
A minimum of one
years experience working in advocacy services or similar supportive
roles.
·
Previous
experience of working with vulnerable client groups and in multi-agency
settings
·
Experience
within the mental health sector is preferred but not essential.
·
Excellent
communication skills, including ability to keep clear and accurate records

have a understanding of mental health or learning disabilities

Full training and
support is given.
All volunteer befrienders
will be selected subject to interview, satisfactory references and a
Criminal Records Bureau check.
