Vacancies within Gwent

 

Independent Mental Health Advocacy Team Members

 

For the Independent Mental Health Advocacy service (IMHA) covering;

Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent, Newport, Torfaen, Monmouthshire.

(Office base Caerphilly)

 

Advocacy workers 2 x 37 hours, 1 x 27.5 hours per week

Salary £22,485 – £24,710 (pro rata for part-time)

 

To successfully meet the demands of these posts you need

 

·        A minimum of one years experience working in advocacy services or similar supportive roles.

·                                Previous experience of working with vulnerable client groups and in multi-agency settings

·                                Experience within the mental health sector is preferred but not essential.

·                                Excellent communication skills, including ability to keep clear and accurate records

Volunteering Opportunities Over 50’s Befriending Project

 

Could you find the time to be a volunteer befriender to improve the quality of life for older people?

 

If you:

 

·        can spare 1-2 hours a week (or more)

·        have good listening and communication skills

·        have an empathy with the needs of older people

·        have a sense of commitment

·        have a understanding of mental health or learning disabilities

 

we would like to hear from you

 

Full training and support is given.

 

 

All volunteer befrienders will be selected subject to interview, satisfactory references and a Criminal Records Bureau check.
